Specialist Children's Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Children's Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Children's Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with epilepsy and their families.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing specialist nursing care to children with epilepsy. You will work closely with our team of paediatric neurologists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that children receive a seamless and quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist nursing care to children with epilepsy, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that children receive a coordinated and quality service.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and carers to ensure that their needs are met.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the care of children with epilepsy.
- Participate in education, audit, and research activities to improve the quality of care for children with epilepsy.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registered Nurse qualification and experience in paediatrics or a related field.
- Specialist knowledge and skills in the care of children with epilepsy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
