Job Title: Children's Community Nursing Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Community Nursing Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing advice and support to patients and families with epilepsy, both in hospital and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an established team of clinical nurse specialists to provide a holistic package of support to children and families with epilepsy.
  • Work closely with our Children's Epilepsy Surgery Service to develop, strengthen, and lead our Epilepsy team.
  • Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients and families, in-patient and out-patient, throughout their care pathway.
  • Utilize skills of clinical expertise, leadership, education, and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers, and staff.
  • Work closely with the Neuroscience multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a coordinated quality service.
  • Be actively involved in education, audit, and research to improve the quality and service for patients.
