Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our Children's Epilepsy Service. The successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing and a passion for delivering high-quality care to children with epilepsy.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for leading a team of clinical nurse specialists and working closely with our Children's Epilepsy Surgery Service to provide a holistic package of support to children and families with epilepsy. This will involve developing and implementing care pathways, providing education and training to staff, and contributing to the development of our epilepsy service.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Be able to speak fluent English to an appropriate standard
  • Supportive, respectful, innovative, and collaborative
  • RN Child or RN Adult with relevant Children's qualification
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Relevant accredited post-registration qualification at level 3
  • Degree or equivalent (in related health topic or willingness to work towards)

Desirable

  • Non-medical prescribing qualification and registration
  • Evidence of master's level academic study

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Extensive and varied post-registration experience
  • Substantial current speciality experience
  • Evidence of recent teaching experience
  • Experience of undertaking research or audit projects
