Acorn by Synergie is excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Financial Operations Manager to join our reputable client.

If you are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified and have experience with SAP S4/HANA and Cognos BI, we would like to hear from you.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and reporting of management accounts for the organization.

You will also aid in audit requests, reconcile, and oversee transactional activities in collaboration with the group shared service center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all financial transactional activities are managed by the group Finance Shared Service Centre.
  • Assist the Head of Finance in preparing monthly management accounts and group reporting.
  • Oversee accruals and prepayments.
  • Conduct weekly cash flow forecasting.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, managing the Deferred VAT account, and addressing any queries with HMRC.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, including a detailed review of GRNI, down payments, and key accounts for specific suppliers.
  • Support all audit requests by collating and retrieving necessary information.
  • Supervise daily bank account reconciliations and allocations to customer accounts, serving as the main local contact for finance-related inquiries.
  • Oversee the preparation of weekly/monthly BACS runs in accordance with cash flow requirements.
  • Process payments as necessary using the banking portal.
  • Manage all credit control processes, including cash allocation to customer accounts and debt collection as needed.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as required by the business.
  • Process monthly payroll and all associated activities, including pensions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified or part-qualified.

OR

  • Experience in a similar role.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and Sum ifs (capability test during interview).

  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP Finance packages such as SAP S4/HANA and Cognos BI.

Hours and Benefits:

  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
