Essential Areas of Control:
Communication:
Maintain clear communication with all senior management and ensure compliance with head office requirements.
Security:
Safeguard the integrity of the premises, including financial assets and inventory, by managing access controls and alarm systems.
Health & Safety:
Adhere to all legal and company health and safety standards for both customers and employees. Collaborate with relevant authorities to stay updated on current regulations and ensure safe operational practices.
Personnel Management:
Organize weekly staff schedules, ensuring balanced coverage during peak trading times. Monitor staff performance and adherence to company standards, including dress code and punctuality.
Merchandising and Inventory Control:
Coordinate with buyers on stock matters, ensuring effective display of promotional items and compliance with merchandising standards.
Daily Operations:
Conduct pre-opening inspections to ensure readiness for business, checking cleanliness, security, and stock levels throughout the store.
Financial Oversight:
Review daily sales figures, manage cash handling procedures, and prepare monthly reports for upper management.
