Acorn by Synergie is excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a Financial Operations Supervisor to become a vital part of our esteemed organization.

If you hold ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications or are part-qualified, and have a strong background in SAP S4/HANA and Cognos BI, we encourage you to consider this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Finance in the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts and group financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, managing the Deferred VAT account, and addressing any inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring a comprehensive review of key accounts, including payroll and pension accounts.
  • Support all audit requests by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
  • Oversee daily bank account reconciliations and ensure accurate allocations to customer accounts, serving as the primary contact for finance-related inquiries.
  • Process payments as needed through the banking portal.
  • Manage credit control processes, including cash allocation to customer accounts and pursuing outstanding debts.
  • Handle monthly payroll processing and related activities, including pension contributions.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the business.

Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified or part-qualified.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFs).
  • Experience with ERP Finance systems such as SAP S4/HANA and Cognos BI.

Working Hours:

This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
