Job Title: Intervention Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to join our team to support the delivery of interventions in our KS1 and KS2 classrooms.

About the Role:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to identify gaps in children's learning and plan interventions accordingly.
  • Build strong relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
  • Have a calm and nurturing approach to ensure children have a positive learning experience.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons alongside the class teacher to support children in achieving their full potential.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and those with additional needs.
  • Be willing to upskill yourself through continuous professional development.
  • Ensure children are assessed and progress is recorded so that feedback can be provided to children, parents, and the class teacher.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Good understanding of the KS1/KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Experience delivering interventions/small group sessions.
