Intervention Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted support for Year 5 & 6 pupils, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver focused interventions in English and Maths to small groups or individual pupils to support their academic progress.
- Collaborate with class teachers to identify learning gaps and tailor intervention strategies that address the needs of each child.
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) as required.
- Monitor pupil progress, maintain records, and provide feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
- Create a positive, nurturing learning environment where pupils feel supported and motivated to succeed.
- Assist with classroom activities when needed to ensure a cohesive learning experience.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (minimum) is essential.
- Previous experience working within Key Stage 2 (Year 5 & 6 preferred).
- A strong understanding of the primary school curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A flexible and proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of children, including those with additional learning challenges.

Working Hours: 1pm - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
