Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to enhance our dynamic Finance Department. The primary focus of this role is to manage the collection of outstanding payments related to inpatient services and address any billing inquiries that may arise.

Key Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a background in customer service along with credit control expertise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate persistence in resolving complex issues presented by both internal and external stakeholders. A friendly, efficient, and customer-oriented approach is essential, complemented by strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Core Duties:

  1. Monitor overdue accounts and ensure timely cash collection for a designated portfolio of clients, utilizing written communication and virtual meetings while maintaining meticulous records and confidentiality.
  2. Distribute invoices and credit notes through various channels, including email and customer portals.
  3. Gather essential identifiers such as Unique IDs and Purchase Orders for newly admitted patients to minimize payment delays.
  4. Contribute to the successful implementation of a new ERP system.
  5. Foster strong relationships with clients and collaborate with key stakeholders to promptly identify, escalate, and resolve disputes.
  6. Manage remittances and cash allocation efficiently.
  7. Oversee the shared inbox to ensure effective communication and resolution of queries.

Required Skills and Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience in credit control is essential; familiarity with NHS funding processes is advantageous.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain robust relationships are crucial.

Experience with non-standard payment methods, such as schedules and self-billing, is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is required.
