Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Warner Recruitment Ltd. as a Financial Accountant - Statutory Reporting Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and growing organisation with a financial turnover of circa £500 million.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Statutory Accounting: Produce statutory accounts under IFRS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Year-End Audit Process: Take responsibility for the year-end audit process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Produce and present information for future Mergers & Acquisitions, supporting the business in strategic decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Responsibility for VAT returns, HMRC returns, and payments, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  • Internal Controls: Assist in continuous improvements in internal controls and financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
  • Management Accounts: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and board papers, providing insights into business performance.
  • Group Consolidation: Assist in the preparation of monthly group consolidation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Balance Sheet Review: Review the monthly balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lease Management: Manage group leases, ensuring timely payment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Prepare and review monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Project Work: Undertake project work as required, supporting the business in strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualified in ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in statutory accounting and audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity with travel to the Northampton Head Office 1 day per week.
