Our team consists of around 200 specialists, offering one of the most extensive product ranges across our markets. We are recognized for our leading knowledge in underwriting, claims, risk advice, and training, with a strong emphasis on client-centric service.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will join the Underwriting Management team, focusing primarily on static exposure and aggregate monitoring, while also providing support to the broader Underwriting Management team as needed. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate entry of underwriting exposure data into specialized modeling and insurance software.
  • Serving as a primary contact for inquiries related to specific classes, maintaining daily communication with underwriters and underwriting assistants.
  • Offering constructive feedback to underwriters to enhance exposure data capture and workflow, as well as assisting in process improvements.
  • Supporting the Underwriting Management team with various processes, including business planning, projections, reserving, and class performance reviews, along with other ad-hoc reporting and control tasks.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and enhancing reporting capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • Operational excellence in ensuring the accurate capture of underwriting exposure data and aggregate information within catastrophe modeling systems.
  • Management reporting skills, including monitoring and maintaining aggregate exposure data within our management systems, and sharing insights with underwriters and management.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities within MS Amlin Marine, fostering confidence and rapport while acting as a key contact for exposure capture and monitoring inquiries.
  • Commitment to company standards and values, ensuring compliance and addressing any potential deficiencies.
  • A proactive approach to personal and professional development, maintaining strong relationships with various underwriting teams and stakeholders.
  • Staying informed about industry developments and assisting with ongoing projects as needed.
