Position Overview

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week.

This role is with a leading Global Distribution Company and requires prior experience in Account Management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Sales Account Executive, you will:

  • Foster and maintain relationships with key target accounts that are crucial for the long-term success of the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and repeat business while addressing any issues to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Sales team to develop and implement strategic account plans for key accounts.
  • Be accountable for the execution of these strategic account plans.
Account Management

Conduct regular account reviews to identify and resolve challenges. You will:

  • Develop and implement innovative tools and process enhancements to support departmental strategies, with guidance from senior management.
  • Maintain productive, long-term relationships with key accounts at the executive level.
Opportunity Management

Manage a pipeline of opportunities at key accounts, including:

  • Renewals
  • Projects
  • Opportunities for share improvement

Communicate customer activities, opportunity statuses, renewal statuses, and progress on strategic plans to management.

Collaboration and Support

Engage supplier sales resources to leverage their support and develop effective solutions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in outside sales or at least 3 years in strategic account and/or sales management.

Skills

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
  • The ability to identify potential opportunities within assigned accounts and create actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in navigating a matrix organization while managing multiple stakeholders and projects.
  • The ability to travel up to 50% as required.
