About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Housekeeper to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the housekeeping team in cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms, and visitors' areas.
  • Provide support, guidance, and supervision to team members, while monitoring recruitment and performance reviews to ensure continuity of services and facilities.
  • Work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and maintain a safe and healthy environment for our service users.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and staffing rosters to meet the needs of the service and team.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment, and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines and complete local infection control audits.
  • Operate a documented housekeeping program that is auditable.

Requirements

  • COSHH training and experience with cleaning industry standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and manufacturer's instructions for cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment.
  • Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities effectively and communicate with team members and management.
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
