Job Overview

The SHEQ Director is a key leadership role responsible for the effective management and implementation of the company's SHEQ Systems across Ireland and the UK. This position requires a strong understanding of health and safety, environmental, and quality management principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a behavioral safety culture within the organization, resulting in a safer working environment for all employees.
  • Lead a proactive SHEQ approach, prioritizing and planning departmental activities, providing advice and information on SHEQ policy and legislation, and championing best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO management systems, including ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, and 27001, and maintain an effective corrective action process.
  • Develop and update SHEQ documentation, adhere to the PMO system for equipment calibration and inspection, and maintain an appropriate system and site audit schedule.
  • Coach and develop the team of H&S Officers and Advisors to support Project Leaders, analyze SHEQ data, and prepare and communicate trends and reports.
  • Manage a company-wide training program, prioritizing, budgeting, monitoring adherence, evaluating effectiveness, and aligning with KTL and Client Values.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and quality management principles.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage with and influence key stakeholders.
  • Results-driven leader with a proven ability in process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to travel within Ireland and the UK as required.
