Job Overview

The SHEQ Director is a key leadership role responsible for the effective management and implementation of the company's SHEQ Systems across Ireland and the UK. This position requires a strong understanding of health and safety, environmental, and quality management principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a behavioral safety culture within the organization, resulting in a safer working environment for all employees.
  • Lead a proactive SHEQ approach, prioritizing and planning departmental activities, providing advice and information on SHEQ policy and legislation, and championing best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO management systems, including ISO 14001, 45001, 9001, and 27001, and maintain an effective corrective action process.
  • Analyze and trend H&S data, identifying areas for continuous improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Manage the company-wide training program, prioritizing, budgeting, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including clients and project leaders, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and quality management principles.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Results-driven and data-driven, with a proven ability to improve processes and drive compliance.
  • Ability to travel within Ireland and the UK as required.
