Job Summary:

Linsco is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our team. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and promotion of health, safety, environment, and quality programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Engage and communicate with operational staff on HSE matters, providing guidance and support to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor health, safety, environment, and quality performance on contracts and take necessary steps to improve standards.
  • Conduct regular site, compound, and CDM audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures.
  • Support the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) and tender documentation, ensuring that all necessary HSE information is included.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and utility damages, introducing preventative measures to prevent re-occurrence and compiling reports for the SHEQ Manager and Director.
  • Ensure all levels of staff under your influence have the necessary training in health, safety, quality, and environmental matters, and assist managers in identifying training gaps.
  • Provide specialist advice on the company's safety policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Recommend disciplinary procedures where operational staff fail to discharge their responsibilities with regards to health, safety, environment, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within utilities environments, specifically within the power sector.
  • NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard).
  • EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
  • Must hold BESC or relevant persons authorization.
  • Experience working for either DNO's or National Grid.
  • Proficient in accident/incident investigation and RCA.
  • Proficient in data analysis and compiling reports.
  • Competent in core standard Microsoft software.
