Senior SHEQ Advisor

Dean Carter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to join its team at Barking or Potters Bar. The successful candidate will be crucial in ensuring the company's operations' health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance through professional advice and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the management team on all health, safety, quality, and environmental matters.
  • Develop and implement company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers on SHEQ matters and ensure compliance with their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices and communicate these to the management team and employees.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH Level 6 or NCRQ Level 6 qualification.
  • CSCS certification.
  • Working knowledge of HSG47.
  • Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands.
  • Willingness to travel between Barking and Potters Bar as required.
