International Rights Executive/Manager (Nordic)

Are you a detail-oriented, innovative, and multi-lingual professional? If so, you might be the ideal candidate to join our Rights team. We are seeking either an International Rights Executive or Manager, depending on your level of expertise. This is a remarkable opportunity to become part of our team representing our exceptional adult imprints in significant European markets.

Quarto is dedicated to creating inspiring publications for both adults and children distributed worldwide. You will play a crucial role in enhancing international rights sales and co-editions.

Working hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We currently operate a flexible hybrid model, with three days in our office and two days working remotely.

About the Role

You will be instrumental in developing sales of our adult lists in the following regions: Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Norway.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass established revenue and margin objectives.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with clients for co-edition and royalty agreements.
  • Maximize sales with current publishing partners through market visits.
  • Broaden the existing customer base and explore new sales initiatives.
  • Provide sales metrics, forecasts, and trend analysis.

Depending on how the skills and experience of the successful candidate align with the role, an offer will be made at either executive or manager level.

About You

We are looking for sales professionals with exceptional communication and commercial acumen. You will have a proven track record of identifying promising sales opportunities and converting them into confirmed business. You will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess the adaptability to respond to change. Fluency in English is essential, and additional languages—preferably Nordic—are advantageous.

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Exhibit outstanding numerical and negotiation skills.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Communicate proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office at an advanced level.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both clients and the team.
