International Rights Specialist (Nordic)

We are seeking either an International Rights Specialist or Manager, depending on your experience level. Quarto is dedicated to creating inspiring publications for both adults and children, distributed worldwide. You will play a crucial role in enhancing foreign rights sales and co-editions.

Starting from £35,000 (subject to experience)

Working hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We currently operate a flexible hybrid model, with a combination of in-office and remote work.

About the Role

You will be instrumental in developing sales for our adult lists across the following regions: Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Norway.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass established revenue and margin targets.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with clients for co-edition and royalty agreements.
  • Maximize sales with current publishing partners through market visits.
  • Broaden the existing customer base and explore new sales initiatives.
  • Provide sales data, forecasts, and trend analysis.

Depending on the alignment of the successful candidate's skills and experience with the role, an offer will be made at either the specialist or manager level.

About You

We are looking for sales professionals with exceptional communication and commercial acumen. You will have a proven track record of identifying promising sales opportunities and converting them into confirmed business. You will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess the adaptability to navigate change. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in additional languages, particularly Nordic, is preferred.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to maintain and cultivate excellent customer relationships.
  • Outstanding numerical and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
