We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Atlantis Medical. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or early-career physiotherapist who is passionate about patient care, keen to develop their skills, and eager to work in a supportive and innovative environment.

About the Role:

The post holder will work within our inpatient physiotherapy teams as a Band 5 Physiotherapist, assisting patient flow through the acute Trust. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing high-quality patient care and management, ensuring professional and legal accountability for all aspects of work.
  2. Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients with various medical and respiratory pathologies, orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, pediatric patients, amputees, head injuries, and stroke patients.
  3. Developing and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy treatment programs, utilizing clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and knowledge of treatment techniques.
  4. Ensuring patient understanding of treatment, obtaining valid consent, and working within a legal framework for patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
  5. Evaluating patient progress, reassessing, and altering treatment programs as needed.
  6. Representing the Physiotherapy service and individual patients at multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure a coordinated multi-disciplinary service and integrate physiotherapy treatment into the overall treatment program.

Requirements:

  1. Experience working in ICT or community-based physiotherapy teams.
  2. Experience treating acute respiratory patients.
  3. Ability to create personalized and effective rehabilitation plans.
  4. Involvement in audit, research, and understanding of quality issues.
  5. Ability to present information, both written and orally, in a clear and logical manner.
  6. Strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  8. Effective communication, education, motivation, and negotiation skills with staff, patients, and carers.
