About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5/6/7 Community Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Physiotherapy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with various medical and respiratory conditions, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal issues, paediatric patients, amputees, head injuries, and stroke patients.
  • Treatment Programme Development: Formulate and deliver evidence-based Physiotherapy treatment programmes, taking into account individual patient needs and goals.
  • Patient Communication and Consent: Assess patient understanding of treatment, gain valid consent, and work within a legal framework to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Team Collaboration: Represent the Physiotherapy service and/or individual patients at multi-disciplinary team meetings, ensuring seamless coordination and integration of Physiotherapy treatment into the overall treatment programme.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who possesses:

  • Essential Qualifications: Diploma/BSc Degree in Physiotherapy and State registration with the Health Professional Council.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or special interest group.

We also require:

  • Essential Experience: Experience working in a Physiotherapy department in the UK NHS, completed placements at undergraduate level, and working knowledge of a broad range of conditions requiring Physiotherapy.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience working in ICT or Community-based Physiotherapy teams.
