The Digital Audit Team's Innovation quadrant is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining applications to automate existing tasks and audit tests, as well as creating new audit approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and delivering self-serve solutions, working with managers and senior managers in the team.
- Develop proficiency in Python to write quality code consistent with the firm's best practice and PEP 8.
- Write discrete sections of code to be included in AAA tools, as well as complete self-serve code for simple tools.
- Use initiative to research solutions to coding challenges.
- Learn and help implement a range of technologies, including machine learning, APIs, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Power Apps.
- Follow the firm's processes, such as the app development checklist and the New Initiatives Process.
- Consider the needs of the audit practice and opportunities for digital improvement as the driving force behind all activities.
- Work alongside other Digital Audit Team quadrants, including Implementation, Methodology, Operations, and Support.
Requirements
- Driven and determined to find solutions to audit challenges regarding data and analytics.
- Experience in Python, the primary programming language of the department, is ideal, but a comprehensive training program is available for candidates without prior experience.
- Ability to think laterally, identifying opportunities for automation or transformation.
- Systematic, analytical approach to work, able to take a task or problem and turn it into a digital solution.
- Interest in maintaining and developing technical knowledge.
