Lead a Dedicated Team of Therapists in Acute Elderly Care
London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team within the Department of Medicine for Older People (DMOP) at Ealing Hospital.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist occupational therapy services to patients with complex physical and cognitive needs. You will lead a team of Band 5 and 6 therapists and therapy technicians, ensuring high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert assessment and treatment to patients with diverse conditions within an acute setting.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of occupational therapy services within the DMOP.
- Mentor and supervise junior therapists, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Participate in clinical audit and research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in acute elderly care settings.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
