We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients in their homes, using public transport or a personal vehicle, to identify their needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, doctors, and social workers, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to promote patient independence and quality of life.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development of new services and programs, including research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
