We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in the advanced assessment, treatment, and clinical management of patients with stroke.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective occupational therapy treatment programs for patients with stroke, taking into account their individual needs and goals.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional deficits and develop strategies to address these deficits.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Supervise and support junior staff members, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality care.
- Participate in service improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
You will be joining a dynamic and progressive team that is passionate about delivering high-quality care to patients with stroke. Our team is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment, where every staff member has the opportunity to grow and develop.
Requirements- Post-registration experience working in an acute hospital setting, preferably in a neurological or stroke rehabilitation unit.
- Experience as a senior occupational therapist, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong clinical skills, with a deep understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
