Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Joint Emergency Team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist occupational therapy services to patients in their own homes, ensuring they receive the highest possible standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct specialist assessments with the multidisciplinary team to identify clients' needs and develop effective care plans.
- Organize transfers to intermediate care facilities and care packages as required, ensuring seamless transitions for clients.
- Provide advanced specialist occupational therapy input to clients, including those on the virtual ward, to promote independence and safety.
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of occupational therapy services, supervising junior staff and students, and ensuring the highest possible standards of practice.
- Support the Team Manager in establishing and monitoring a robust clinical governance framework for the Joint Emergency Team.

Person Specification- Recognized Occupational Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
- UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration.
- Minimum of 6 years post-registration experience.
- Evidence of recent Continuing Professional and Personal Development.
- Wide range of experience in different settings, including community.
