We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic therapist to join our supportive therapy team at the Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit in London.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with neurology, neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, nursing, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and social workers to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Deputising for the Lead Occupational Therapist when required.
- Assisting the MDT in diagnosis, problem formulation, and planning of rehabilitation programmes.
- Functioning as a Key Worker/Named Therapist to ensure active coordination and management of the therapeutic programme.
- Playing a key role in planning safe discharges.
- Prescribing and providing equipment for patients during their rehabilitation journey.
- Maintaining records and clinical notes in line with company policy and RCOT guidelines.
- Developing and delivering in-service education and training programmes for the wider MDT.
- Supervising junior members of staff.
