About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Clinical Scientist/Chief Audiologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinics for young children and those with complex needs, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individual management plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
  • Provide training and education to colleagues and students, promoting excellence in clinical practice and research.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field of paediatric audiology.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Audiological Science or equivalent knowledge level.
  • Post-Master's professional training qualification or equivalent (for HCPC registration as a clinical scientist).
  • HCPC registration as Clinical Scientist (Audiology), RCCP registration as Audiologist, or AHCS registration.
  • Extended experience as a Clinical Specialist Audiologist, including STP training.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
