Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with young people, staff, and external agencies to ensure the delivery of excellent care and support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and physical well-being.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in childcare and youth work.
  • Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, to ensure the needs of the young people are met.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, including daily reports and care plans.
  • Full manual driving license.
