Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources.

About the Role:

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be working in a children's residential home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behaviour. You will need to be flexible, resilient, and honest, with a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised care and support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and structured environment, ensuring the needs of all young people are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level, with the ability to complete daily records and reports.
