Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Gloucester

Contract: Shift Pattern - ad-hoc cover

Salary: £ per hour plus sleep in shifts when required

Headway Adolescent Resources is a reputable organization in the residential adolescent childcare sector, providing holistic care for young people regardless of their background.

We are seeking a Residential Child Care Worker to join our new residential home on a casual basis. This opportunity offers flexibility to work hours you can commit to with no contractual obligation.

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will work with young people with challenging behavior, requiring flexibility, resilience, honesty, and organization. You will be committed to providing a high standard of childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People
  • Ability to work independently, maintain accurate records, and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Empathetic nature and good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people
  • Full manual driving license essential
