Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Gloucester

Contract: Shift Pattern - ad-hoc cover

Salary: £ per hour plus sleep in shifts when required

Headway Adolescent Resources is a leading provider of residential adolescent childcare services. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each young person.

We are seeking a Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people.

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and care to young people with challenging behaviour. You will need to be flexible, resilient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and care to young people with challenging behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in training and development opportunities
  • Contribute to the development of care plans and risk assessments

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Full manual driving license
