Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Assistant to become a vital part of the Income Recovery & Financial Inclusion team for a fixed term of up to 7 months. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to transition into a career in Housing.

The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support, enabling team members to focus on their responsibilities outside the office. You will engage positively with both colleagues and clients, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents within our housing estates. It is crucial to ensure that the perspectives and priorities of our customers are integrated into all aspects of service delivery.

As site visits may be required, the ability to navigate and access various locations independently is essential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven administrative experience with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of social housing functions and familiarity with the third sector, particularly in relation to diverse populations, including those facing social or financial challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team and work independently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail in a dynamic environment, adhering to established procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility and willingness to follow managerial directives.
  • Adaptability to evolving work practices.
  • Ability to efficiently manage a varied workload and complete tasks punctually.
