Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker seeking to make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges?

Elysium Healthcare is looking for a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Social Worker to join our team at The Farndon Unit. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting women with severe and enduring mental illness, personality disorder, and/or mild learning disability.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive social care assessments and develop personalized care plans to facilitate recovery and positive outcomes for patients.
  • Facilitate access to essential welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and other support networks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to ensure holistic and coordinated care.
  • Conduct thorough safeguarding assessments and reports, adhering to relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Educate hospital staff on safeguarding matters and best practices.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior social workers within the team.
Your Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognized Social Work Degree.
  • Post-ASYE experience in a UK healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of 12 months direct social work experience within mental health inpatient settings, including acute services, PICU, High Dependency, and Secure Forensic units.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant mental health legislation (e.g., MH Act).
  • Strong understanding of MAPPA principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in conducting Mental Health Reviews, Risk Assessments, and Care Programme Approach (CPA) documentation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for home risk assessments.
