About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mental Health Act Administrator to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and confidential management of Mental Health Act correspondence and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with external authorities to arrange, process, and document information related to patient admission, referrals, discharges, and renewals.
  • Verify all legal documentation in relation to patient detention under the Mental Health Act 1983, including section paper, section renewals, rights, and consent to treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient clinical records in accordance with Elysium Healthcare procedures.
  • Produce audits and reports as requested by the Administration Manager and MHA Admin Advisor.
  • Supervise the work within the Mental Health Act Admin Department.
  • Compile statistics for the database for Local Health Authorities, the Mental Health Act Commission, and other statutory bodies.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in administration or office systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to set up video conferencing meetings.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and associated legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
