We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mental Health Act Administrator to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and confidential management of Mental Health Act correspondence and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with external authorities to arrange, process, and document information related to patient admission, referrals, discharges, and renewals.
- Verify all legal documentation in relation to patient detention under the Mental Health Act 1983, including section paper, section renewals, rights, and consent to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient clinical records in accordance with Elysium Healthcare procedures.
- Produce audits and reports as requested by the Administration Manager and MHA Admin Advisor.
- Supervise the work within the Mental Health Act Admin Department.
- Compile statistics for the database for Local Health Authorities, the Mental Health Act Commission, and other statutory bodies.
- Demonstrable experience in administration or office systems.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to set up video conferencing meetings.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and associated legislation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
