Social Worker Position Overview

As a Social Worker at Elysium Healthcare, you will be instrumental in assisting women dealing with complex mental health issues, including personality disorders and mild learning disabilities. Your expertise will ensure they navigate their care pathways effectively, leading to positive outcomes.

With a background in either the NHS or private sector, you will manage a diverse caseload and conduct various social care evaluations. Building constructive and professional relationships will be essential, as you focus on personalized care and recovery strategies that empower individuals to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating access to essential services such as welfare rights, housing, and advocacy.
  • Providing 1:1 supervision and support to colleagues.
  • Engaging with safeguarding agencies and fulfilling reporting obligations.
  • Participating in safeguarding meetings with local authorities.
  • Educating healthcare staff on safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • A degree in Social Work.
  • Post ASYE qualification.
  • A minimum of 12 months of direct Social Work experience in the UK.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in mental health inpatient settings, including Acute services and Secure Forensic environments.
  • Strong understanding of relevant mental health legislation.
  • Knowledge of MAPPA processes.
  • Familiarity with MP, MHRT, CPA, and related reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in assessment and care planning.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and referral processes.
  • Valid UK Driver's License and access to a vehicle for home assessments.
