Overview

As a Social Worker, you will leverage your expertise in managing complex cases and conducting comprehensive social care assessments. Your role will focus on fostering positive relationships and promoting recovery-oriented practices that empower individuals to achieve self-directed change. This includes engaging with families to enhance collaboration and support.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating access to essential services, including welfare rights and housing support.
  • Providing individual supervision and guidance.
  • Reporting to safeguarding authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Participating in safeguarding meetings with local agencies.
  • Educating healthcare staff on safeguarding protocols.

Qualifications Required:

  • A degree in Social Work.
  • Post ASYE qualification.
  • A minimum of 12 months of direct Social Work experience in the UK.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in mental health inpatient settings, including Acute services and secure environments.
  • Strong understanding of mental health legislation.
  • Knowledge of MAPPA and associated processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in assessment and care planning.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle for home assessments.
