At Elysium Healthcare, you will play an essential role in assisting women facing severe and persistent mental health challenges, personality disorders, or mild learning disabilities, ensuring they achieve positive outcomes throughout their care journey.

As a Social Worker with experience in either the NHS or private sector, you will manage a diverse caseload and conduct various social care evaluations. Your focus will be on fostering meaningful and professional relationships while emphasizing personalization and recovery to facilitate positive, self-directed transformations. This may involve family-centered approaches to enhance involvement and collaborative solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities as a Social Worker will encompass:

  • Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy, and related support services
  • Providing and participating in 1:1 supervision
  • Reporting to safeguarding authorities and regulatory organizations
  • Attending safeguarding meetings with local agencies
  • Educating healthcare staff on pertinent safeguarding issues.

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • A degree in Social Work
  • Post ASYE qualification
  • A minimum of 12 months of direct Social Work experience in the UK
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Experience in mental health inpatient environments, including Acute services, PICU, High Dependency, and Secure Forensic settings
  • Strong understanding of relevant mental health legislation
  • Solid knowledge of MAPPA
  • Comprehensive understanding of MP, MHRT, CPA processes, and associated documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong assessment and care planning capabilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding obligations and the duty to refer to external agencies
  • A valid UK driver's license with access to a vehicle and willingness to conduct home risk assessments
