Job Description

Job Summary:

The Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our community health services. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high-quality patient care, teaching, and research within our division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Ensure that effective systems are in place for the delivery of patient care, teaching, and research within the division.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure the effective implementation of Trust policies, procedures, and standards as agreed by the Trust and Executive Boards.
  • Representation: Represent the division and the Trust for service bids and contract negotiations as agreed with the divisional director.

Corporate and Clinical Governance:

  • Integration: Be responsible for the integration of operational management with the clinical governance agenda through participation in Clinical Governance committees and the Divisional Management Board.
  • Compliance: Ensure Divisional compliance with national requirements including Care Quality Commission Registration.
  • Corporate Governance: Work within the provisions of Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions and ensure that the highest standards in corporate governance and probity are maintained.
  • Incident Management: Together with the Divisional Director of Operations and Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapy manage complaints and incidents.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Population Health: Work at Divisional level to develop a focus on Population health and actively search for ways to highlight inequity and promote equality.
  • Representation: Represent the Trust at ad hoc external strategic meetings in agreement with the Medical Director.
