Job Overview

We are pleased to present a remarkable opportunity to become a part of the Theatre Resource and Information team at Harrogate District NHS Foundation Trust in the role of Theatre Resource Manager.

The successful candidate will be stationed in Main Theatres and the Day Surgery Unit, providing essential support to the Resource & Information Lead in overseeing the management of theatre resource services across various surgical areas.

Key Responsibilities

The Theatre Resource Manager will play a vital role in the effective management of theatre resources, which includes:

  • Organizing the loan of surgical kits and overseeing instrument repairs.
  • Monitoring stock levels and ensuring efficient stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Collaborating with finance and suppliers to resolve invoice-related queries.
  • Contributing to initiatives aimed at improving theatre cost efficiency.
  • Ensuring accurate coding is applied to relevant budgets and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Assisting Material Management Officers with daily stock ordering and restocking tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • A diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant IT qualifications or experience, along with HFMA certification (Bitesize) or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Procurement qualifications (CIPs) or equivalent experience.
  • NHS Management qualifications.

  • Proven experience in team collaboration, including workload allocation and management.
  • Familiarity with NHS ordering systems (Supply Chain/Oracle).
