Job Opportunity: Theatre Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner to join our PACU Team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

As a Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the post-operative phase of their treatment. You will work closely with the anaesthetist and surgeon to plan and deliver patient care, ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-focused care in the post-anaesthetic care unit
  • Assess and manage patient pain and discomfort
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and efficient operating theatre environment
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or ODP with relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Teaching qualification
  • Previous work experience in a PACU environment
  • Knowledge of operative procedures
