About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with skin cancer and their carers, facilitating their care pathway, and providing holistic needs assessments, care planning, and symptom control advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients with skin cancer and their carers, facilitating their care pathway.
  • Carry out holistic needs assessments, care planning, and provide symptom control advice.
  • Act as a contact person (key worker) for patients and liaise with all health professionals involved in their care.
  • Work collaboratively with referring clinicians and all members of the extended multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure the team complies with local and national policy, clinical governance, and Peer review.
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practice.
  • Specialist training relevant to the role, including diploma-level specialist training or short courses.
  • Significant experience at Band 5 or above in a specialist area or relevant area with transferable skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
