About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacy technician to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Chief Technician/Dispensary Manager, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of the dispensary, ensuring the provision of high-quality pharmaceutical services to patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the dispensary team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies.
  • Coordinate pharmacy services, including the management of stock, supplies, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent Pharmacist to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and service delivery.
  • Provide training and supervision to pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of the pharmacy department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences (NVQ Pharmacy services Level 3) or equivalent.
  • CPPE or equivalent ACPT qualification.
  • Significant post-qualification hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Broad technical pharmaceutical knowledge relating to the promotion of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective use of medicines.
