Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the HR Business Partner by providing comprehensive support on various employee relations matters.
  • Deliver effective guidance and assistance to employees regarding company policies, procedures, and employment law.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment by coaching and developing managers in their people management duties.
  • Offer operational support and advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals.
  • Support redundancy consultation processes and TUPE when required.
  • Proactively manage absence issues, identifying and resolving complex cases, and monitoring key performance indicators to suggest preventive actions.
  • Handle a designated caseload of employee relations matters.
  • Assist teams in navigating organizational changes and implementing new structures and processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation to provide sound advice and expertise to management.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance performance on key people metrics.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar employee relations or HR role.
  • Proficient in managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, absence management, and redundancy.
  • Current knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Resilient, adaptable, assertive, and confident in approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing a diverse workload.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and change management skills.
  • Good analytical and systems skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities in a dynamic business environment.
