Job Responsibilities
- Assist the HR Business Partner by providing comprehensive support on various employee relations matters.
- Deliver a reliable service to employees seeking guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Foster a positive employee relations environment by coaching and supporting managers in their people management duties.
- Offer operational support and advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals.
- Facilitate redundancy consultations and TUPE processes as needed.
- Proactively manage absence issues, helping to identify and resolve complex cases, while monitoring key performance indicators to suggest preventive actions.
- Handle a designated caseload of employee relations issues.
- Support teams through organizational changes and the implementation of new structures and processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation to provide sound advice and expertise to management.
- Collaborate with management to enhance performance on key people metrics.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a similar employee relations or HR role.
- Proficient in managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, and redundancy.
- Current knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
- Exhibit a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Possess resilience, flexibility, assertiveness, and confidence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing a diverse workload.
- Excellent stakeholder management and change management abilities.
- Good analytical and systems skills.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Proficient problem-solving skills in a dynamic business environment.
