Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Business Partner by providing comprehensive support on various employee relations matters.
  • Deliver a reliable service to employees seeking guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment by coaching and supporting managers in their people management duties.
  • Offer operational support and advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals.
  • Facilitate redundancy consultations and TUPE processes as needed.
  • Proactively manage absence issues, helping to identify and resolve complex cases, while monitoring key performance indicators to suggest preventive actions.
  • Handle a designated caseload of employee relations issues.
  • Support teams through organizational changes and the implementation of new structures and processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation to provide sound advice and expertise to management.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance performance on key people metrics.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar employee relations or HR role.
  • Proficient in managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, and redundancy.
  • Current knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
  • Exhibit a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Possess resilience, flexibility, assertiveness, and confidence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing a diverse workload.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and change management abilities.
  • Good analytical and systems skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills in a dynamic business environment.
