Role Responsibilities

As an Employee Relations Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing comprehensive support to the HR Business Partner on various employee relations matters.
  • Delivering efficient guidance to employees regarding company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Fostering a positive employee relations environment by coaching and supporting managers in their people management duties.
  • Offering operational support on employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals.
  • Assisting with redundancy consultations and TUPE processes as required.
  • Proactively managing absence cases, identifying and resolving long-term sickness issues, and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Managing a designated caseload of employee relations issues.
  • Supporting teams through organizational changes and implementing new structures and processes.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation to provide accurate guidance to management.
  • Collaborating with management to enhance performance on key people metrics.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A proven background in employee relations or human resources.
  • Experience in managing employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Current knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR compliance.
  • A high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and confidence in approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize a diverse workload.
  • Strong stakeholder management and change management abilities.
  • Good analytical skills and proficiency in systems.
  • A customer-focused mindset.
  • Problem-solving skills in a dynamic business environment.
