Role Overview

Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking an IT Risk Assurance Manager to become a vital part of our IT Audit Team. This role involves overseeing comprehensive IT internal audit projects, ensuring that all audit activities are conducted to the highest standards, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and providing insights into the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management through the delivery of clear audit reports that encourage management to enhance governance, risk management, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Audit for guidance while ultimately leading the audit process.
  • Establish and nurture strong professional relationships throughout the organization.
  • Assist Hargreaves Lansdown in achieving its goals by employing a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and enhance the effectiveness of risk management and control processes across all business functions, influencing management to implement improvements.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to explore how data can be leveraged for insightful data-driven audits.
  • Operate independently or lead small teams, which may include external auditors.
  • Contribute strategically to the audit planning process based on your experience.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve methodologies and operational practices, including maintaining an effective quality assurance framework.

Candidate Profile

  • Ideally, you will hold a CISA qualification or be working towards it, along with other relevant certifications such as CRISC or CISSP, demonstrating a growth mindset.
  • Proven experience in auditing technical security and resilience IT controls across various technology layers, including applications and infrastructure.
  • Background in auditing transformation initiatives, particularly in IT change.
  • Familiarity with data analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage end-to-end audits with high-quality reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Internal IT audit experience within the financial services sector is preferred.

Interview Process

The selection process will consist of two interview stages and a task. The second interview will be conducted in person.

Work Schedule

This position is permanent and full-time, comprising 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility to work from home and come into the office a few days a week.
