Role Overview

We are in search of a Change Risk Manager to enhance our Risk division. This position presents a remarkable opportunity to be part of a developing team where you will significantly contribute to our organizational growth objectives. You will collaborate with the 2nd line of defense, the Head of Change, and Third Party Risk to cultivate a reputation for delivering proactive challenges, support, thought leadership, oversight, and assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Change leaders, managers, and stakeholders to provide guidance, oversight, and constructive challenge to ongoing change and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with Change teams to offer direction, oversight, and constructive challenge in managing risks and controls throughout the change execution process.
  • Support and engage with other 2nd line Risk Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in providing guidance, oversight, and challenge to first line business functions involved in change, including Operational, Data, Digital, and Technology.
  • Ensure oversight, guidance, and assurance that promotes continuous enhancement of Change Risk management across the organization and with Third Parties.
  • Collaborate closely with and support other 2nd line Risk functions and the 3rd line Audit team.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in financial services environments with a comprehensive understanding of the sector.
  • Background in 1st or 2nd line risk management within a large commercial organization.
  • Proficient in the practical application of risk management frameworks.
  • Strong emphasis on key principles and approaches that align with strategic business objectives while balancing risk management and client outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of change management processes in large organizations, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Extensive knowledge of the FCA Handbook and its practical application.
  • Insight into current change risks affecting financial services organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective communicator, capable of presenting complex information in a clear manner, adjusting style to fit the audience.
  • Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement in relationships and processes.
  • Operate with credibility and integrity, embodying the values of Hargreaves Lansdown.

Interview Process

The selection process will consist of two stages: a competency-based interview followed by an assessment task.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility between remote work and office attendance.
