Role Overview
Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) is seeking an IT Risk Assurance Manager to join our IT Audit Team. This role involves leading comprehensive IT internal audit projects, ensuring that all audit activities are conducted to the highest standards, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and providing assurance regarding the efficacy of internal controls and risk management through the delivery of insightful audit reports that encourage management to enhance governance, risk management, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head of Audit for guidance while taking the lead on audits. Establish and nurture strong professional relationships throughout the organization. Assist HL in achieving its goals by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and enhance the effectiveness of risk management and control processes across all departments, influencing management to implement improvements. Utilize strong analytical skills to explore how data can be leveraged for insightful data-driven analysis and effective audit testing. Operate independently or lead small teams, which may include external auditors. Contribute confidently to the audit planning process from a strategic perspective, drawing on experience. Mentor and guide team members. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance methodologies and overall operational efficiency, including maintaining a robust quality assurance framework.Candidate Profile
Ideally, you will hold a CISA qualification or be working towards it, along with other relevant certifications such as CRISC/CISSP, demonstrating a growth mindset. Experience in auditing technical security and resilience IT controls across various technology layers, including applications and infrastructure. Familiarity with auditing transformation and change processes, particularly in IT. Proficient understanding of data analytics. Proven track record of independently managing end-to-end audits with high-quality reporting. Strong analytical, communication, and influencing capabilities. Excellent problem-solving skills. High attention to detail. Internal IT audit experience within the financial services sector is preferred.Interview Process
The selection process will consist of two interview stages and a task. The second interview will be conducted in person.
Work Schedule
This position is permanent and full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home and come into the office a few days a week.
